Coastal Villas Paraparaumu
Holmes Construction was engaged by Metlifecare on the Coastal Villas reclad project located in Paraparaumu. This project is the recladding of all units in the retirement complex. Holmes has been involved as the Main Contractor since the commencement in 2018.
Each duplex is enclosed within a scaffold tent to protect against weather. The buildings are re-roofed, have new eaves formed, windows are replaced, and a new weatherboard cladding system is provided over a cavity system. New wall insulation is provided and linings to exterior walls are fitted and finished. Several units were also fully redecorated simultaneously.
Work was completed successfully to a rolling programme, and required close liaison with the client to minimise disruption to residents. Holmes completed 40 duplexes.
