New World Newlands
This new supermarket development on a brownfield site transformed an old council car park and industrial site into a vibrant part of the Newlands landscape. It comprises a basement car park and single level modern supermarket on a sloping and difficult site. Public safety on an extremely busy intersection was managed while undertaking this challenging contract.
The project involved large excavations, driven steel piles, rock anchors, and extensive foundations to ensure the latest seismic standards were met. The high quality fit out will service the Newlands community for decades to come.
